La Maison Chandesais today

Samuel Montgermont the entrepreneur

Originally from Brittany, but a Burgundian by passion, Samuel Montgermont embodies the revival of Maison Émile Chandesais.

From an early age, his love of wine led him to specialised studies in wine industry law, before he was swept away by the appeal of the vineyards. Working in the Rhône Valley, he acquired solid commercial experience before taking over the management of Compagnie Vinicole de Bourgogne in 2021.

With an unwavering commitment to excellence and an eye always turned towards the future, Samuel is the orchestrator of the Émile Chandesais revival, promoting a modern and accessible vision of Burgundy wine.

David Fernez: The oenologist

David Fernez brings to Maison Émile Chandesais technical expertise and an in-depth knowledge of Burgundy’s vineyards, the fruit of a career initially destined for chemistry.

It was his passion for wine that ultimately steered his career towards oenology, after rewarding experiences in the Loire and Beaujolais regions. Joining the Compagnie Vinicole de Bourgogne in 2011, his scientific approach and respect for tradition have enabled him to forge strong links with the region’s winegrowers.

Alongside Samuel Montgermont, David is playing a key role in the rebirth of Émile Chandesais, where his talent for combining innovation and tradition has resulted in wines of exceptional quality that are accessible to all.
